Ladey is delighted to be invited to speak with Jean on the Speaking in a Virtual World podcast. Ladey is a Christian who wrote her first faith book, ‘Unfrozen–How to melt your heart from Life’s Disappointment, Disillusionment and Discouragement by Opening the door and stepping into God’s warming Light‘ in 2014.
She is an international Speaker and Lecturer who has written eleven books, including a children’s series about a little unicorn co-authored with her daughter, Abbirose, and has published many non-fiction books for other authors. In 2016, following many queries from ‘wannabe’ authors, she set up the family business in publishing and has learned so much. She is always happy to share this learning. Ladey Adey Publications was born and is expected to publish 100 author’s book by 2025.
Ladey has been featured on the ALLi (Alliance for Independent Authors) blog, and is the host of the Ladey Adey Show, a podcast all about books. She started her professional career in the 1980s as a typesetter, layout artist and designer for technical publications. She later worked in the charity sector as CEO and Chairwoman but has now returned to her first love–books. Ladey has a heart for dyslexic writers and publishes their books for them.
In 2022, she founded The Book Academy–an online book club on steroids! Here, members read one book a month and discuss it from a perspective of writing style. They interview established authors and learn more about wordcraft (and of course networking as reflected in her latest book). Ladey has always loved meeting people, learning about their business, and finding ways for mutual support. She was delighted to meet Jean through a referral; she is thrilled to become a member of OMG Mastermind and use the values based on The Go-Giver.
